Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 13.5 oz can coconut milk (regular or light)
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Add almond milk, coconut milk, dairy-free chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt to a medium saucepan. Whisk to combine.
  2. Heat over medium-high heat on the stovetop, whisking frequently until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Continue to heat, whisking occasionally, until the hot chocolate reaches your desired temperature. Do not boil.
  4. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
